This Lent course explores the ordinary places of the Easter story in which the extraordinary events of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection occurred. The five sessions and accompanying meditations lead you to examine the reality of these places and engage with the Gospel stories in a fresh, informed and imaginative way. You will be encouraged to look at the ordinary places of your own life, and rediscover them as places in which you may meet the living God. Above all, this course leads you on a shared journey through the Easter story towards a deeper understanding of Christ’s sacrifice and the joy which is ours on Easter Day.

... provides a reflective introduction for each week's meeting, which follows a set and timed format of praying, sharing, imagining, studying, discussion, and response.
The common theme that governs her choice of biblical texts is finding God in adversity. Hence she navigates her way form Jesus's home town, via the wilderness and storm, to Jerusalem and Golgotha. Marking her style out is its imaginative quality, which is reinforced by suggestions of visual props that might help the group think more intuitively.
This is a safe, gentle course, which you could confidently hand over to inexperienced groups. (Posted on 22/02/2011)
