Edgar Ruddock is an Anglican priest, who worked as a parish priest in inner-city Birmingham for nine years before moving to Southern Africa in 1983. There, over nearly nine years, he was involved mainly in the training and formation of clergy and lay people, in the context of the struggle against apartheid. Returning to the UK in 1991, he became Rector of Stoke upon Trent. In 2003 he joined the staff of USPG: Anglicans in World Mission where he is a Deputy General Secretary, with responsibility for leadership development programmes. He is married with three children, and three grandchildren.
