Mike Anderson

Mike was born in Liverpool in 1956 and worked in a bank for 3 years after leaving school. He then went to Christ's College, Liverpool (now Liverpool Hope) to train to teach.

He taught for 7 years at St. Cuthbert's Catholic Community High School in St. Helens where he was a founder member of Tongues of Fire.

Mike then spent three years working for Christians Abroad as a Mission Partner teaching in a rural school in Zimbabwe. On returning to England, Mike resumed once more at St. Cuthbert's where he is now Head of R.E. Mike is married to Beth and they are blessed with three lovely children - Katie, Tom and Joey.

Mike Anderson is best known for the so-called clapping Gloria and Sing it in the Valleys - both lively favourites for many years, but he has written a whole lot more. His most recent projects have included a setting of Eucharistic Prayer II and a collection for Holy Week and Easter.

You can check out Mike's website below where you can hear clips from all of his recorded catalogue along with demos of his latest music. This site contains lots of music files so is best enjoyed via a broadband or other similar connection.
