Susan Hardwick

Susan Hardwick read for a Psychology and Philosophy degree at Warwick University and, following selection for ordained ministry in the Anglican Church, she then studied for three years at Queen’s Theological College, Birmingham.  Susan was one of the first women to be ordained priest in 1994, in Coventry Cathedral. She was made an Honorary Canon of Coventry Cathedral in 2004.

Since her ordination, Susan’s main areas of work have been in various areas of social responsibility, further education and as a senior chaplain in the juvenile secure estate.

Susan lives in Warwickshire, with her husband Graham.  They have two adult children and a growing number of grandchildren. She began writing for Kevin Mayhew in 1995, and since then, has had over 35 titles published, both fiction and non-fiction for children, teens and adults. 

Susan has written a wide range of source material and incorporates many issues and subject-matter in her books: from science to psychology, spirituality to social issues, theology, stories, reflections, meditations and prayers.
