Suzi Stock
Suzi Stock is 30, married to Dennis with five children (Sam, Kaylie,Luke, Benjamin and Joy), lives in Bedfordshire, and has been involved in youth work for over 12 years in various capacities: student, full-time, part-time and voluntary.
Her exciting and extremely popular youth resource books are alltried and tested in the field. This is mainly in the Luton area, where Suzi spent six years doing various things, including cell church, youth clubs and youth holidays, community meals, detached youth work and schools work. She has also led RE lessons, anger management lessons and sex education. Another area of her work involves pastoral support for young people on a one-to-one basis.
Suzi's work focuses on young people from all backgrounds and her resources appeal to those who work with young people, whether they have a church background or not. Her resources are specifically aimed at breaking the divide between these two groups.
Suzi is now a full-time childminder with her husband. They care for children from babies up to teenage years. They work closely with Social Services to offer emergency and respite care for children and young people in care. Along side this, Suzi continues to write youth work resources, tutor university students now on the Centre for Youth Ministry JNC / degree course and teaches and assesses the CYM distance learning Youth Work course: "Engage".
Her other interests include making children's novelty cakes, fitness,dancing, music, films, playing the saxophone and going on holiday with her family.
