Manuscript Submissions
We receive a very large number of manuscripts for consideration. Of these we publish on average two a year that have been sent to us unsolicited. The vast majority of our new titles are commissioned work.
If you are considering sending a manuscript to us, please take a look at our website to ensure that your manuscript fits within our list of publications. We do not publish novels, children’s stories or autobiographies and although we have published some poetry in the past we are no longer accepting poetry manuscripts.
How to make your submission:
Please send by post a short, typed synopsis together with one or two chapters of your work. If you are submitting music for consideration, you will need to send a portfolio of eight pieces so that our Editorial Committee can assess your work and style. The address is as follows:

When submitting your work, please remember to include a short covering letter, your name, address and email address if you have one. We regret that manuscripts cannot be returned even if a stamped addressed envelope is enclosed.
All submissions will be acknowledged but it will be at least 12 weeks before you hear whether we are interested in your manuscript. Due to the number of manuscripts we receive we regret that we are unable to give specific feedback on your submission.
If you have not heard from us within 4 months, please assume that your submission has not been successful.
We do not accept submissions by email or telephone.
