A lamb holding a banner is a typical symbol for the resurrection of Christ. The banner is the symbol of victory over death. This symbol is derived from the vision of Constantine the Great, who replaced the eagle on the Roman standard by a cross-shaped emblem. The halo represents the deity of Christ.
