Never Let the Songs End
Hymns frequently anchor our faith in the big story of God's plan of salvation; the often remind us of our belonging to one another as well as to Christ; they help us to explore what discipleship means in different situations; and they offer possibilities in narrative, lament, reflection and other styles.
These texts are offered with the prayer that they may become part of that one great song of praise which will find its fulfilment only in the age to come.

How lucky are we to have such resources for worship! Review by Church Music Quarterly
Star Rating "Never let the songs end offers 124 texts, some new and some reworking of earlier ones. Some are hard hitting and powerful:no-one will feel comfortable singing 'O West Bank town of Bethlehem', with its violent imagery, to the tune of forest green. For this author, hymn singing is not just a comfortable offering to God, but different areas of life are to be vocalized by the whole congregation. Many moods and emotions are covered, but most do fulfil the book's subtitle 'to inspire and uplift'. Recommendations of (mostly familiar) tunes are given and an excellent set of scriptural and thematic indexes will assist those choosing texts." "How lucky are we to have such resources for worship! In the 1960s we talked of the hymn explosion', but this continues unabated today, thank God." (Posted on 08/12/2011)
