Philip Eley works for LiNX Christian Youth Trust in Torbay, Devon. He has been involved in youth work and schools work for over 25 years, specialising in emotional first aid work. He helps young people deal with difficult emotions, through one-to-one listening, small group work, class teaching, and training teachers. He has an MA in Youth and Community Work, a PGCE, and a BA (hons). As well as this title he has written ‘Pick-Up-And-Use Youthwork Resource,’ and ‘From Chatting to Really Listening,’ both published by Kevin Mayhew Ltd. He has three children, walks his dog on the beach daily, and paints as a hobby.
