Seasonal Responsorial Psalms

Few parishes have the musical resources to perform a different Responsorial Psalm every week. Realising this, the compilers of the three-year Lectionary provide a set of 20 seasonal psalms which reflect the mood of the Readings.

These texts have been beautifully set by Andrew Moore so that parishes can have a properly prepared sung psalm every week. Each season has a choice of psalms and these are given in two versions: one as a song setting, the other in a chant setting.

Andrew Moore's music is tuneful and attractive: he gives the congregation a good melody to get hold of, and the cantor or choir will find their part sings easily.
