Reheated sermons are about as palatable as reheated microwave meals: they fill you up but are ultimately unsatisfying and neither tasty nor nutritious. As we thrive on fresh food seasoned well, so also we grow in faith from sermons that present us with new insights into the Bible and challenge us with God’s truth.
Drawing on over 30 years’ experience of preaching in settings as diverse as large Christian events and under a baobab tree in Africa, Paul Canon Harris provides sermon outlines and reflections on the gospel and other readings in the three-year lectionary cycle. He writes preacher to preacher, giving an outline, insight and illustrations for others to use in their own preparation.
Paul Canon Harris is an Anglican priest, writer and poet. He has trained and encouraged many younger preachers in the UK and abroad and is a regular contributor to BBC Radio 2’s Pause for Thought and other radio stations. He is a Canon Emeritus of Gloucester Cathedral.
Season the Preaching is an invaluable resource for preachers, group leaders and students of the gospels.
