Treasure Chest Full of Personality Review by Magnet Resources
Star Rating Helen Warwick begins with the premise that each unique person born into our world has a treasure chest full of personality, ability and talent and somehow along the way, many of these traits have been lost. She holds the image that Jesus promised of abundant life as a promise for everyone. This is a practical book with many things to do and because of her personal experience and that of a Spiritual Director; she excludes a confidence that this might be worth a try. Using the imagination and other methods of expressions she guides us to a realisation of our deepest feelings which often dictate how we act. I appreciated her approach to the Bible as a source to be treasured and used in this quest. She suggests imagining being a part of the stories like a fly on the wall or even one of the characters and looking at the emotions that result. I feel this might be a very personal quest but there activities that can usefully be used in groups and worship. (Posted on 14/06/2011)
