Swifty's father tells him the legend of the first golden eagle. 'He flew so high he touched God's throne,' says his father. Swifty believes it to be his destiny to do the same. However, Swifty is not like other eagles - he has only one leg. To make matters worse the carrion crow tells him that because of his disability he will never fly or hunt.

Swifty longs to believe his father's encouraging words but the crow's lies are so plausible.

This story has many parallels with the Christian's walk with God. It is not just about faith triumphing over infirmity. It is also about our final victory over death
