Andrew Wright

Andrew Wright (b.1955) studied music at Worcester College, Oxford under Robert Sherlaw Johnson and was a former Assistant Master of Music at Westminster Cathedral. He has been Master of Music and Diocesan Director of Music for the Diocese of Brentwood since 1982 and is very active as a conductor, teacher, performer and composer.

Andrew is also currently Chair of the Bishops' Choristers Award Committee which provides musical and liturgical training for young choristers. He has been much in demand as an adjudicator for Music Festivals over the years. In 1995 he received a civic award from Brentwood Borough Council for his work in the locality.
