Description: I've Always Wanted To Play Recorder

If your memories of playing the recorder are tainted by squeaks and squeals from primary school, then this is the book for you!

I've Always Wanted to Play the Recorder contains clear pictures and charts to show the instrument's fingering, simple explanations of music theory, and technique tips to ensure that you make a good sound, right from the start of your musical journey.

Recorder skills and knowledge are developed through both new and familiar melodies, with downloadable demo and backing tracks available to support your learning. By the end of the book, you will be familiar with 12 notes and have a varied repertoire of pieces to play for admiring friends and family. And no more squeaks and squeals!

Educated at Manchester University and the Royal Northern College of Music, Alison Carver has worked in the worlds of classical, pop and theatre music and as a specialist teacher in primary education.
