Hearts On Fire
Two travellers on the road to Emmaus said to each other, 'Were not our hearts burning within us while he was talking to us on the road?'
These meditations celebrate the joy of meeting up with Jesus, of knowing the risen Lord. They rejoice that Jesus is alive and present with us now.
There is a meditation for each day from Ash Wednesday to the Saturday after Easter. Each meditation has a passage of Scripture, where the life-giving powers of God are seen to be at work. The aim is to help us spend time with the risen Lord.
To explore the Scripture readings, David Adam uses the ancient tradition of Lectio Divina, Holy Reading. The purpose of these meditations is not study, though information is provided, but to be still in the presence of God and rejoice in his saving power.
