He was director of the Cappella Singers for ten years, giving concerts in cathedrals and churches throughout the south of England, and making a recording of settings of the Eucharist for the RSCM.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe is now a music lecturer at South Downs College, where he teaches music history and composition and directs the College Brass Ensemble. His musical influences stem from the rich choral, brass and hymn tradition of the Salvation Army, the English choral tradition, and the practical needs of working for many years with many young people of different musical abilities.
