        Description: Play Piano! Book 1

A Solid Foundation for Young Pianists (Grades 1-2)

Play Piano Book 1 is the definitive tutor for young beginners, combining rigorous pedagogy with the musical creativity Alan Haughton is known for. This course offers a "fun but systematic" approach, ensuring students develop correct technique and musicality from the very first lesson.

Unlike dry instruction manuals, Haughton uses a wide variety of musical styles to teach core concepts. This keeps students motivated while comprehensively preparing them for the early grades (1-2). It is an ideal core curriculum for teachers looking for a balance between enjoyment and educational substance.

        Key Features:

        • Progressive Learning: Systematically guides students from beginner to Grade 2.
        • Musical Variety: exposes students to different genres to develop rounded musicianship.
        • Teacher Approved: A proven method by one of the leading writers for young people.
        • Digital Accompaniment: Audio downloads available in the Resources tab.
