To make it easier for the new recorder player to practice at home, digital downloads are available in the student book, giving both complete performances and backing tracks only.

Forward In Red Hot Recorder Tutor it has been my intention to combine best practice with a fun approach, thereby giving the new player a firm technique on which to develop their skills, while making the actual learning process really enjoyable.
I have included lots of pieces with 'feel good' accompaniments, rhythms to clap to, 'tap dance type' music, optional second and third parts for ensemble work right from the start, 'playing by ear' with a CD backing, and even an accompaniment for long-note practice.

The children love the pieces, they are fun and catchy. The progression of skills are ideal. Well laid out and easy to use. Great to have a CD backing track. The children are inspired and delighted with the progress they make!I bought this to support home schooling of the recorder. I expected that it would have teaching structure or aids (ie how to teach the pages in the students book. Maybe I was naive, not being a teacher, but all it contained was piano accompaniment music, which seemed pointless seeing as the student book comes with a CD of music.

Buy the student copy!
I couldn't find any information about this book but bought it thinking it would be better than the student copy. It is not. It has the piano accompaniment for each piece but no notes, ideas or even a CD. Very disapointed.
