Big G Interviews
In this witty collection, Michael Forster imagines the hitherto unpublished transcripts of exclusive interviews between Theodore (Theo) Logian, top Megabucks Television chat show host, and God. Kevin Mayhew Publishers, in conjunction with Megabucks Television, proudly presents the scoop of the year! Enjoy Theo's discomfort as he realises that many of the topics he had planned to discuss with Big G are not as cut and dried as he had thought. Share in Theo's surprise as God turns up in many forms - a schoolboy, a tramp, a cleaning lady. So, join the audience: heckle and applaud these one-off, never-to-be-repeated interviews between Theo and God - and then ask yourself what you think God would be like on a television chat show. Christ Our Peace
Christ Our Peace offers six short, reflective services for use throughout Lent and Holy Week. Drawing on the early Church's tradition of using the weeks before Easter as a time of instruction, reflection and meditation, this collection provides one service for each of the four Sundays in Lent, together with Passion Sunday and Palm Sunday. Written by Stuart Thomas, the services are designed to be used flexibly. Each can stand on its own, but the individual elements - prayers, responses, songs and meditations - can equally be extracted and used in other contexts. The material is based on the ASB readings and themes for each Sunday in Lent, but is entirely independent and may be used by churches or Christian groups of any tradition. Recognising that quieter, more reflective services may not attract vast congregations, the book takes its inspiration from Christ's promise to be present 'wherever two or three are gathered'. There is space for silence and meditation, with suggestions for hymns from the New Anglican Edition of Hymns Old and New that match the thoughtful tone of the liturgy throughout. Specifications Format: Paperback - Perfect Bound Size: 160 x 245 mm Publication date: 1996 Page count: 32 pages ISBN: 9780862098988 Contents Introduction First Sunday in Lent Second Sunday in Lent Third Sunday in Lent Fourth Sunday in Lent Passion Sunday Palm Sunday

Let Dreams Come True
In the weeks preparing for Advent Let Dreams Come True looks at great spiritual influences such as Abraham, the prophets, stirred with vision who prepared God's way; and finally the God-bearers, such as Hannah in the Old Testament and Mary, the mother of Jesus in the New Testament. The course has the added advantage of including an optional extra 4 weeks which can be followed in November, in the weeks preceding Advent. This season richly explores the seasonal and spiritual themes of November and Winter, a time of transformation when treasures of the earth and of the heart are formed slowly and silently as we wait in the darkness, watching and preparing for the journey into hope and light. The two sections expertly weave together the themes of remembrance in November with those of Advent - the tides of the past meeting with the tides of time to come.
