Justice Like A River - Book
Singer, songwriter and author Garth Hewitt has been recording songs for nearly 40 years and has released around 40 albums.Garth's music and writing reflect a spirituality of hope and a simple way of life that rejects violence and affirms equality and human rights.'The Christian faith impels us to seek justice - we see this especially in Jesus' ministry, and in the message of the prophets and so it is very clear that God loves justice. It is an integral part of the gospel and this is what Jesus did - ministering to the people that were marginalised and oppressed - ministering to the people that didn't count in his time.''God Loves Justice' - Gustavo Parajon - doctor, pastor and peacemaker of Nicaragua (1935-2011)ContentsBe the hands of JesusFeast your mind on what is pure All the timeHappy to shareHe broke the rulesIf we have never sought Jesus of the scarsJustice like a riverLet the world be changedOne of us, flesh and bloodTeach us how to walk Dance on injusticeWe hear your cry, LordWe saw beauty in the ashes Broken imageWe will pray for you, sisterWe've silenced our prophets Let justice rollYou're the one The living God

Cooking Up Worship
Christian worship is exciting, innovative and life- changing - or at least that's what it should be. If your church isn't like that, then you need this book. Too often the Church is like a restaurant whose clientele is dwindling because the chef doesn't seem to care what the customer wants. What's on offer is stodgy, dull and unattractive.David Flavell makes no apology for being controversial in his assessment of the present state of affairs but goes on to provide constructive, well-presented and easily understood guidelines for cooking up services that are attractive and give glory to God. There is no need for a degree in theology, music or cuisine; the requirements are the desire to reach people where they are and at the same time to please God - simple but profound.

The Unfolding Story
Photocopy: PermittedThe Unfolding Story is a comprehensive parish resource for reflective worship on the Old Testament. It is designed for use in public worship or for quiet days, with the 80 meditations woven into themed ready-to-use orders of service. For many the Old Testament is a closed book - primitive and dull, often barbaric, irrelevant. To reconcile the God we find there with the God revealed in Jesus is sometimes hard. But it is also the story of a people's journey across centuries towards an ever-deepening understanding of God's greatness, love and mercy, all brought together in anticipation of the promised Messiah - a journey shared and continued by every Christian. The meditations which form the basis of the services in The Unfolding Story were previously published in Grappling with God. Nick Fawcett has now developed them into complete services with•an Introduction • Prayers • Hymn suggestions • Commentries • ReadingsNothing more to do, except pray them!

God's People At Worship Together
All-age worship does not mean uniformity. Rather, it is about accessibility, flexibility, imagination, humility and unity, as God's people worship together.Susan Sayers draws on her huge experience in providing worship material for all ages to explore what it means to be God's all-age community and how to express this through worship. With practical suggestions for each season of the Church year, and for each Sunday of the three-year lectionary, God's People at Worship Together will help to affirm the fundamental truth that an essential sign of the kingdom is to work at becoming a community of God's people.

The Good Shepherd
This story is based upon the parable that Jesus taught. However, it is a little different. It centres around two pests. The first is a lion who thinks he's more than a match for the Good Shepherd (but guess who wins!). The second is a character called Boing who resists even the best endeavours of the Good Shepherd. Boing's behaviour eventually leads to tragic consequences, and in the process of trying to bring him back to the flock the Good Shepherd's body is pierced by cruel thorns. About John Stewart These beautifully crafted illustrations and carefully constructed stories charm and inspire on many levels. John Stewart delivers a powerful gospel message with a delicate touch. Living in Wimborne, Dorset, John has been writing stories since he gave his life to the Lord in 1975.

Prayers Of Blessing
In Genesis 12, we see how Abraham had his entire vocation carved out for him in terms of blessing; Christ's final act before his ascension was to bless his assembled apostles; our forebears, the Celts, had blessings for everything from getting dressed to milking the cow. The beautiful prayers in this book ask for God's blessing on our lives, work, activities and relationships, joyful in the knowledge that God desires to bless his people as they journey through life.
